  1. Hi

I got a XviD file which is NTSC at 23.976 fps. I'm pretty sure its progressive, and everything would be fine exept that I need to give these files to a place that only accepts the PAL format. So I need to do a frame rate conversion going from 23.976 to 25 fps, but I dont know how to do this. I dont exactly have money to spend on something like this so I tired doing it with freeware software, but if payware is the only answer then I guess I'll have to buy it. I tried AssumeFPS(25) in AviSynth, but that make the film noticable faster on some places. And the audio is AC3 5.1 surround sound which I'll have to find a way to speed up without losing quality or changing pitch or downmixing etc... I found there arent many freeware softs that would do this with the audio. I then tried ChangeFPS(25) but I got noticable jerking so that wasnt an option either. I then tried ConvertFPS(25) but I got noticable ghosting in the movie. I'm going to convert these files to DVD (MPEG2)
So now I'm asking for help, whats the best way (lossless?) to convert the frame rate from 23.976 to 25 fps?

    Thanx

  2. Go to Guides-> Search by Author-> enter "JohnsO"-> Search. Nice guide on framerate conversion, all freeware. Not tough at all. Pay attention to the GUI version of BeSweet, as I've found older versions are cranky. Good Luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
