    I assume it is coming from the Doom site for two reasons. First it started appearing after my first visit to the "doom" site. Secondly the file is named "MyDoom". I haven't had time to check into this in depth nor do I know what this file is capable of however if anyone else has had experience with this file appearing in their scans I would be interested to know. I have attached a screenshot of the Norton Symantec alert panel
    which gives more detailed information.

    what doom site are you referring to ? If you mean doom9 I assure you, you won't intentionally get a virus.

    mydoom is a known virus....unrelated to the doom site. It propogates through e-mailand P2P, may do so in other ways as there are a few variants.
