  1. I have some trouble with a DVDR movie. It plays well in powerdvd on the computer but refuses to work on the xbox and the standalone dvd player.

I opened the ifo in ifoedit and did the get vts sectors trick but it still wont work. What more methods can i try? Is it possible to re-author the dvd with some tool?

    Hello,

You could rip it to the pc and burn on another dvdr.

Also - does your dvd player support the type of disc your using?? You could also switch brands and see if that helps.

--Just a quick note - you do have the dvd adapter to enable dvd movies on the xbox right? ---
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  3. Yes that media works on both my xbox and the dvd player. And yes I can play dvds on the xbox.

I have tried to re-burn the dvd, but i am gonna test to edit the dvd in dvdshrink and see if it fixes the problems. And the burn again.

Try different brand media, different format (-R or +R) or a slower burn rate.

If it's just one disc it could just be that disc.

  5. I have already tried that. Doesn't work.

When i open and play the dvd via ifoedit it says:
DVD Warning: Could not open a file on the disc.

When browsing the dir there's no VIDEO_TS.VOB but VIDEO_TS.BUP and VIDEO_TS.IFO is there. I have tried to put an vob-file there but still no success.
