  1. I am not seeing much here about the Prodisc F01's. I received 200 from Supermediastore and 200 from Meritline last week and they are all F01's. Anyone have any info on how good they are? 2 weeks ago I received Prodisc Fujifilm and they work great.
I went out and purchased a Lite-On DVD Burner yesterday and have been playing around with KProbe but am still fighting the learning curve on that. I need info now.
    Thanks.

I'd say you have everything you need, so fire it up, and you tell us if its any good.

Burn your disc as usual, place it in the lite-on drive, execute kprobe, set speed to 4x, run scan, save results, post here.

What else do you want to know?

That scan looks pretty good for anything. Now give us some more details, like which burner did you use to burn (brand and model) and at what speed did you burn?

    DVD Burner: LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1213S

Ah ok, I just had to make sure. Some burn with a different burner, then scan with their lite-on to use kprobe. That speed in your image is actually your scan speed, but if that's what you burned at too, then great.

    Looks really good.

If you try to burn one at 8x, post the scan here. I wouldn't mind seeing that one as well.

  8. My error. I use Pioneer burners 106 thru 108 with the latest firmware to burn at 2x. I only purchased the Lite-On to test the integrity of the discs. If you would like for me to do an 8x burn on the Lite-On and submit a Kprobe at 8x I can. In a few minutes I will submit the Kprobe 8x results from an 8x burn on a Pioneer 108.

Still looks pretty decent, except for that little blip.

You don't have to waste a disc for my benefit. I only meant that if you were going to burn one at 8x anyway (with the lite-on), you may as well post the scan. But I'm content with what you've given us.

By the way, when using kprobe, most people scan at 4x speed. This seems to be a general reference point for people.

I'll post my prodiscf01 scans later tonight. But mine are similar to those already posted. Burned mine on a Pioneer A07xla. 4x burn shows great kprobe results. 8x burn played back at 4x is acceptable as a GOOD burn, but not as good as TY02's. But, both play back in my pioneer dvd standalone, and my onkyo standalone, and I am happy with the inkjet printable surface. Nice to know that I can burn movies on them at 8x and be able to play them, but if I was backing up important data, or irreplaceable home movies, I would burn a 4x and feel very comfortable...
