  1. Hi Everyone,

I saw a great deal online at issibusinesssolutions.com They had a 25 pack of Maxell dvd-r's for 14.00. I ordered 10 packs and got a great rate. Now...I know Maxell's are made in Japan. BUt these have a white sticker on them near the bottom that says made in Taiwan. Has anyone ever seen this before? Should I be worried? It has the exact same packaging, still packed in New Jersey and exact labeling and everything. Just a bit concerned. I am not home and have used the did identifier yet.

yup you should be worried because the MADE IN TAIWAN MAXELL DVD-R is not TAIYO YUDEN DISCS. the MADE IN TAIWAN are RITEK G04 discs which at one time were considered good media but lately they've been crappy. use DVD IDENTIFIER to see the exact media code and manufacturer of the disc.

For the same price you can get geninue Taiyo Yuden Japanese DVD-R at Rima.com. There "everyday" low price is better than this sale price. If you can return them, I would.

  5. Ah man...this really upsets me. I'll check when I get home. I ordered from them not just for the great price but for future reference there shipping cost is way cheaper than all the rest. Appr $7.50 for 10 25 packs. Price was excellent and I recieved them in 5 days or so. Great service. I will advise on this thread what the code is when I get home tonight.

  6. Hi all,

update.....the dvd's have the code for the ritek g04's. I am so dissapointed. i ahve to saythough that issadata.com emailed me back already and said that I can return all the dvd's including the one pack that was opened for a full refund. Just thought i would pass alongthe good customer service that they have given. Thanks evryone for the advice.

By the way I might try buying the discs mentioned above "the ty's". Are they as good as the one's from maxell made in japan. I havent' strayed from maxell in over a year and this is for a special job that i will be mailing out to customers. I really dont want to have any returns. Thanks again.

maxell is just a brand name - the maxell dvd+r are mostly manufactured by TY in Japan - therefore original TY's are just as good - and it's about the same price... 58$ - 100pack
With all due respect... and there is respect...
