Nero drivespeed doesn't work

Hi all,
I"ve downloaded nero drivespeed from the internet, but the program doesn't work good. I can only set the speed for cd-roms, but my dvd-drive doesn't listen to the program. I've downloaded wnaspi32.dll from the nero website, and placed it in the system32 folder but it doesn't make any difference.
Next to "current dvd speed" it says "unknown". Does anyone know what i can do to make this program work correctly for dvd's.

My specs: win xp pro (no sp), dvd-drive= samsung

I believe you need SP1 for that program to work properly
