  1. I've made some home movies but screwed up my menus. Now I want to rip the original MPEG2 files from the DVD and start over. I've tried VOBEdit, but I kept getting M2V files or something like that. I Just want the original MPEG2 files. any help?

M2V files are MPEG 2 video streams. Somehow you have demuxed the .VOB into the video stream and probably also an audio stream with "M2A" or similar extension.

You need to turn off the demultiplex option that's set somewhere in the app There should be an option for "Elemental Streams" or "Separate Video and Audio Streams" or wording to that effect that should be turned off
