Sound is much slower then video

I'm new at this. I have a Memorex DVD+RW/+R burner purchased about 9 months ago and have succussfully burned several home videos to DVD. Lately while following the same steps as before the finished product will play, but the audio sounds to be in slow motion while the video plays real time. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Intervideo software already on the advice of Memorex. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

you might want to be a bit more explicit about how you encode and your file types b4 making it a dvd so we can see what you are doing wrong...
