  1. some advice needed please guys on a file that is annoying me at the mo

    its size reported in gspot is 720 x 288 ( 2:50:1 ) = 5:2

using tmpgenc 3 express i would normaly choose full screen , keep AR but doing that this time gives me borders top and bottom that are to wide

if i choose centre keep AR the file when converted and played back looks like its been zoomed in too much and alot of the picture is cut out at the sides

i`m guessing i would have to select the centre custom size , but i`m not sure what size to make it , can you please help calculate the right size so the file looks right on a widescreen Tv , borders top and bottom are not a prob just not to wide , like i keep getting at the mo

    thanks for your help

You can calculate the size with fitcd. But 2.50 is "super" widescreen so it should be huuuuuuuuuuuuuge borders.

  3. Thanks M8

that sorted things good and proper , fitcd goes to the top of my useful software list

played back a test piece just now and it looked georgous , with only slight borders top and bottom and a slight crop at the sides , but nothing to loose sleep over

    top marks

    cheers
