    i was trying to convert and avi to mpg using tmpeg but after about an hour or so of converting it keeps giving me a windows error mes something about tmpeg has run into some kind of error or something to that nature and it tells me to close and ask me if i want to report it...blah blah blah that same old windows error. Could there be something wrong wit the avi? i always do it the same way and it usually always works but it keeps stopping on the same spot on this avi. Is there another program i can use to split and convert with?

    Hi lamchop115,

    Use VirtualDub to scan for and fix bad frames in the AVI. That might help...
