  1. I copied the the files on a DVD to my notebook computer. There are two folders, Video_TS and Audio_TS. The folder Audio_TS is empty. When I am home and want to recreate the DVD using Nero. I tried to just copy the fold to the blank DVD (using create data DVD option), I got a message saying that if I use the create data DVD option, the DVD will not play in my DVD player.
    I have 2 questions:
    1. what option should I use to recreate the DVD ? Nero has the option of creating the DVD from image. But what I have is not an image.
    2. What is the difference between the DVD that plays on player and a DVD that contains the exact folder made by create data DVD ?

Use DVD VIDEO option. Copy the contents of the video_ts folder to the pink/redish colored video_ts folder in the layout on the left.

    Hi vcd_user,

Was the DVD you copied the files from a commercial DVD? If so, the files are encrypted and you have to rip them (i.e. crack the encryption, then copy.

DVDDecrypter and / or Smart Ripper are good for this. If the files are too big for a single layer DVD, use DVDShrink.

I'm not sure if that's the answer to what you're asking, but I hope it's of use...?

  4. The DVD that I copied from is already a copy. According to my friend, it plays on his DVD player. I assume that there is no copy right or encytion that I have to worry about. I'll try Dr Layne's suggestion.

In that case, you'll be OK by Dr_Layne's suggestion.
