  1. When I use PowerDVD 4, I get "unknown file format ( error code: 89030000 )".

I try using windvd 3.0, powerdvd 4, even interactual player 2.0, but it doesn't help.

When I use windvd 3.0, I press play and it doesn't respond.

When I use interactual player, I get to the dvd rom features / pc friendly such as interactive menu, but cannot play the movie. I get error "Please insert a disc into the appropriate drive".

    My computer configuration is
    Pentium III 850
    3dfx Voodoo3 3000
    Pioneer 16X ( primary ide slave )
    Windows XP Professional
    SB Live! Platinum

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Try getting the latest drivers for your DVD drive and then try again. If that doesn't work uninstall all your DVD players and just install PowerDVD 4. There are issues if you have more than one DVD Player installed. Has this been happening since you got XP Pro? Also try playing a DVD using Windows Media Player 8.
