Hello,
Well just had a fire drill at my office.
Went down 16 flights!Wasn't too bad. Everyone was orderly and there wasn't any pushing or shoving. Must have been planned or was a false alarm.
I feel for those on the 29th floor!![]()

I love fire drills at our work.
Everyone gets out in a reasonable time but then with the stuffing around management takes to count everyone and go through the rest of the stuff you've already got out of 30 minutes of work. -
Has anyone seen people's reactions in a supermarket when there is a fire? There was smoke pouring out the customer restaurant kitchen (thermostat failed on a deep fat fryer) and filling the building, the fire alarms had been ringing for minutes and people were still carrying on with their shopping like nothing was wrong. We got on the PA system and told them to get out, but nothing much happened. Then they see a member of staff running, and that prompts them to stampede.
I swear there is something far wrong with the general public... -

Well sure enough it hit. The power went out and we had maybe five customers. Fortunately we were directly across from a hospital if it got really bad.
After maybe twenty minutes or so it let up enough to leave. Got off work early!Though there were tornados in the area. In fact a building a few miles away got ripped up a little (nothing serious though).

--the customers were calm. We just stayed near the door and watched. If it had gotten worse we would have taken cover in the back.--

I remember we had a fire drill ( or a false alarm ) while taking a test ...it was soo funny because everyone took their test along with their books....outside everyone compared answers with each other and looked up some answerd ....it was the weirdest thing....our teacher was freaking out so much that he never suspected that overyone took their tests..

I'm part of the "fire response team" (joke in itself) for where I work (retail store) and we're told that if a fire breaks out whilst customers are in the store you tell them 3 times to get out of the store then if they still don't leave you can leave them.
