I want to ask permission if we can post offers to trade burned dvds here. I know very well that it is illegal to sell copied dvds that are copyrighted. But for an enthusiast of dvd burning, they would appreciate some sort of reason to exercise the process they put so much time into learning. In trading, it would not breech the copyright laws.

Of course this forum will not be responsible for any bad trades but we can always have list of bad traders here. Of course anyone who makes any attempt, subtle or not, at selling would be banned and sent to hell. What does everyone think?

ps: I apologize if you are offended by me starting this post and speaking on a subject such as this. I post this with no idea how the authorities of this forum would react to this. I think it could go both ways in oppisite extremes.

  4. Trade what exactly?

Would someone like to trade 100 coasters (failed burned dvds) for 100 new blanks? I'll cover the postage both ways if they are TYs

Trading is illegal, unless you perhaps really own the original of the movie you are getting already. If you do then back you own up.

This site will not condone this activity and will in fact suggest against it.

If you mean trading DVD of your own non copyrighted material then that would tend to be something there wouldn't be much demand for and you could setup yourself via PM.

Wrong. You aren't even legally entitled to make a backup of a DVD you own. But the "Fair Use" argument is a strong one, and so backups are allowed to be discussed on this forum. But the backups must be of material you own and you must retain possession of the original. Clearly, trading backups is way over the line, and is warez.

  9. Like those people on eBay selling a paperclip, and bundling in a "free" movie. Although there is no money involved, you would still be distributing copyrighted material to those who have not paid for it. That is the core of it.

Common sense dictates that this activity is illegal.
