what format should i use for creating a audio dvd in terms of convertion and burn outs.
i have mp3s and when i want to burn them out to a dvdr, it norlly takes about 5 minutes every 40 mega bits. when it converting to a dvd format.
is ac3 the right format? that if when i want to burn it will just copy right into the dvd files? or other format i have not know yet? cause right now, if i have mp3s want to convert into a dvd player complied and with a nice looking menu, it need to take up to 5 hours to finish.
so what should i do to burn and edit in future, that it won;t take this long?
thanks in advance!

Hi tintytinyme,
AC3 would be better than WAV as WAV is uncompressed and takes up loads more space = less tracks.
If you're in PAL land, MP2 is also an option. I think they're comparable on quality at same bitrates, but you might want to do some research into that area,
Not sure if you can burn AC3 straight to disc and have it played - I would strongly suspect that there'd need to be authoring involved to produce your VIDEO_TS file structure with the VOBs etc.
Look into DVD+Audio Creator - that might be of use...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room. -
i think i will try out mp2 and ac3 first then. see which one works for me for now.
