Almost had to recapture my whole holiday project :( :(

Hello,

Whew, had a close one tonight. I was finally getting around to cutting the commercials out of my holiday shows that I recorded from tape to my wintv pvr 250.

After cutting the commercials with tmpgenc I went to test them out.

Only the RIGHT speaker was playing!!!! I was using powerdvd to play the mpg file. I was pissed... I figured I was gonna have to recapture the whole 3 or 4 hours again!!!

Fortunately I tried it with windows media player and walla - STEREO (well some were in mono since they were 10+ years old before I had a stereo vcr - but newer ones are stereo)

Man I was not looking forward to rerecording all of them. Or fooling around with stripping the audio, forcing mono-stereo on them, then remultiplexing the audio and video...

This isn't any thing that I have to get done right away, just a project I've put off for a year and finally got around to.

Anyway rant over...
