  1. I thought I had seen a tutorial for this once upon a time, but can't find anything now.

I have an already authored and burned compilation DVD with two DVD movies on it. Is there a relatively simple way to add menus to it now? Asking for simple only because if it is time consuming, it's not important enough to go thru the process. Both movies are separated by about 10-15 seconds, and can be navigated easily by skipping from one to the other. But I'd just prefer to have at least a main menu to distinguish between the two, and link to the individual movies. I'm not asking about making the menus (I have that handled). Only the best process for adding a menu to the compilation...

    Thanks!

  2. Not possible without reauthoring...
From a VMGM menu (more or less the 'main root menu' on a DVD) it is only allowed to jump to another menu (it may be an invisible menu), not directly to a movie.

I assume both movies part of the same titleset ?

If you can get them into different titlesets, it is quite easy with TMPGEnc DVD Author to import both movies using the Add DVD Video button and reauthor without re-encoding.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. Thanks, I appreciate it the responses.

They are in separate title sets, so I can try DVD Author. I only want a simple menu, and nothing flashy or with transitions or motion.

  5. Not possible without reauthoring...
I didn't say anything about reencoding. Reauthoring is possible with a bunch of software: TDA, DVDLab, dvdauthor (therefore also dvdauthorgui and GUI for dvdauthor)...

  6. I knew encoding wasn't the intended reference borax. I hadn't thought of DVDLab for reauthoring. But since I use DVDLab Pro for authoring (and menus of course), it'd be just as easy to use that. Didn't really like the menu making process in DVD Author anyway.

    Thanks again!

Try using Titlewriter - If your menu doesn't contain cell commands and is viable (working on a dvd) it should work and doesn't require reauthoring. Otherwise You could also use a generic - Theres one for 2 Movies
