Someone told me once that you can burn a DVD Rip directly to DVD and it'll be exactly like a DVD with menus and everything without conversion. How do I go about doing that? I just got a new laptop with a DVD burner. Or do I have to convert the file to MPEG2?
    Any help is appreciated =)

I'm not sure u understand what I'm saying. I downloaded a DVD Rip and I want to put it on DVD. Can I do that without mpeg 2 conversion or will I have to convert? Someone told me u can put a DVD Rip str8 onto DVD and it'll have the menu and all the features that particular DVD has.

According to your profile you don't have a dvd burner. If you could update your profile with proper PC specs it would be easier to help out a bit.

  10. well how big is the dvd rip? most rips can not fit on a dvd without shrinking. if its under 4.7 gigs then you can use almost any dvd burning program as long as it supports dvd burning software. just click on dvd video and load you dvd rip files.

  12. "DVD rip" does not mean DVD-R. It means the source was from a DVD the actually format you downloaded could be VCD, SVCD, DVD-R, XviD, DiVX, etc. Find out what format your movie is in then use one of the various guides to do the conversion. If you didn't download the DVD-R ISO format then you will need to convert, you will get no menus, etc, and there will be a degradation in quality.

Uhh... plus there's the "if you downloaded a DVD-rip it's probably illegal and you shouldn't be asking about it here" issue.
