Is there any way to apply effects on an AVI audio (I need to permanently increase sound volume) without extracting the audio track and then muxing it back to the avi?

Why do you not want to demux, amplify then remux? It's simple enough to do with tools like VirtualDub.

Yeah, it's simple. But takes time. I'll just stick to demux-amplify-mux method, thanks anyway.
