I know that I can create a stripe set OR a mirror set in Disk Management. Is there a way to create a mirrored-striped set using software RAID in Windows 2000 Advanced Server, or do I need a hardware RAID controller to do at least one or the other?
In case you're wondering, yes, I am using 4 identical drives.

it only supports 0, 1, 5.
I couldn't find any info on 0+1 or better yet 1+0
Have you tried it? Set up the stripe first then try to mirror them or vise versa? -
Thanks for the tip. Already tried it both ways, neither seems to work. I thought as much but I figured I'd put it out there.
