Changing book type - how do I do it?

I'm using an LG 4160B burner, which I have been informed elsewhere on this site will allow me to change book type when burning DVD+R/RW discs.

So how do I do it? When I go into "Disc Info" in Nero (6.3.1.25) there is no option available for setting book type. Do I need to change my firmware or something? Or am I missing something obvious? Or have I been given duff information about this burner!?

DVDBitSet, should be able to do it.

DVDInfo Pro tells me: "This burner does not support bit-setting" (or something like that - cant remember precise wording). So I guess I've been mis-informed! Or do I need to upgrade the firmware from my A300 to A301 which I notice is available on the LG site. Will that do the trick?

Thanks for that. There's my question answered: the drive does NOT support bitsetting. Fan-bloody-tastic. £60 down the drain then...

I've heard about this setting but don't know what it does or when to use it. Can someone please explain or post a link that will?
