TVout (PC2TV) with ATI AIW 7500 works, but not with video

I am trying to view DVD and video content played on my computer which is sent to an older TV through a yellow video (RCA) cable from my ATI AIW card. The RCA cable goes to a VCR first because the TV only has a coaxial input. I see all the images that are drawn on my computer monitor to display on the TV except for video content. Videos play on my primary monitor but appear as black within the player when viewed on the TV.

I have tried adjusting resolution, color quality, hardware acceleration, and DPI.

Any help would be great, thank you.

tried change the tv-out to the primary? or use the theater mode, read
