    I realize that running other programs at the same time as TmpGenc will slow down the program.
    However, I find this acceptable as long as the actual * output * of TmpGenc is the same as if it was running standalone.
    Any advice is appreciated.

    Running other programs does not affect the quality, only the conversion time. Is that what you wanted to know?
