Hi I currently use DVD Shrink to capture and nero to burn. I can play the movies fine on my computer but when I put them in my player it will play fine for awhile then it starts to stop here and there until finally it wont play anymore. What do i have to do differently in Dvd Shrink. I reauthor and try to get it as close to 100percent as possible. Or should I use another program.
I currently have a pentium 4 3gig 240hdd 768ram.

Hello,
If it actually does play in the player than maybe its your media. You could try a different brand and see if that helps. Also, if you can try burning + or - r if you can do both.

Did you put a label on the disc? I had the same problem until I determined that the labels through off the disc as it played further into the movie.

That points to the typical effect of the media causing the problems, I had that problem 'till I changed to Ritek InkJet Printable A Grade
I also use Ritek A Grade with a red top that says DVD-R 4x in bold letters across the top with no problems at all
I have some RiData that I have yet to try, but they are supposed to be even better
Strange as it sounds, I have had much better success since changine my method of transcoding and burning, since not using Nero 6 for creating DVD's, I now get zero glitches, when using Nero I would get very occasional pauses, but not as bad before I changed media
I now use DVDShrink to transcode and DVD Decrypter to burn as a disc image and its even better, I've just bough an NEC 3500 on the basis of tests that showed its DVD and CD burning quality was unbeatable, I wasn't interested in being able to burn 2-3 minutes faster with another DVD burner I wanted consistant quality of burns, which the tests proved the NEC was the best at, plus its only £50
I used to use Mirror Platinum x4, but they caused terrible problems similiar to what you are experience, I haven't tried the Mirror Platinum Pro, as I'm more than happy with what I use now
Its worth paying slightly more per spindle to get guarnteed results, some will argue against that, but the majority can't be wrong ......
Try here for media, they ship worldwide, have a very fast turnaround plus do hardware and virtually everything related to media. Sleeves, mailing envelopes, hard cases, CD, DVD, DVD-Ram
Even if packages go missing their customer support is excellant , I had a replacement withing a week of complaining I never recieved an order, and them verifying it was actually missing

I know one player that does exactly the same thing. Play well for 8-10 minutes and start glitching, freezing until there is nothing to do.
Your player may also be a picky one. Changing media will most probably help. Try one first. Don't buy a spindle because it's top quality. Your player may not like them.
