Hi everyone, I was just wondering since some movies I got are sort of blurry or like disorted I'm not sure how you'd put it but the pciture quality isn't so great and it's not the best like DVD's that you can buy in your local stores. Is their any programs out there that can encode a mpg or avi file so that it get's rid of the bad picture quality? or like they they say Garbage in, Garbage out. So really their is no way of fixing it?
Also for movies can you encode movie files to be in Dolby Digital 5.1? or any encoder that would do such a thing.
Thanks,
Steve

no, it is no point to convert stereo to 5.1 channels.

Although I (mostly) agree with Baldrick, there are a limited number of things you can do.
If in .avi format, try some of the filters in virtualdub. You may be surprised at the results.Cheers, Jim
