HD Backup problem

During an attempt to make a backup copy of my HD (Norton Ghost 2003), I noticed that It was attempting to also copy my Movies (avi's,mpg's etc,) which would cause the Image to be well over 30 GB. This means that the Backup would consist of at least 6 dvds. How can I make a backup copy of my HD (Apps, documents, drivers , etc) without including my movie files. Can I do this without deleting (or saving to dvds) my movies from my HD? Maybe an option that I can choose to include or exclude certain file/folders from the backup image.

ghost only does the whole partition or the whole hard drive. It does and can not exclude any files (except the page file)

Ok, What about this; What if I delete the movie files, then create the HD backup. After I finish the backup, I log back into windows and use "Recover My Files v2.31" to recover the movie files that I deleted. Would that work?

I wouldn't recommend trying to recover that large amount of data. You're better off just copying / burning the movies to DVD then deleting them from the drive. After they're gone, then make the Ghost image.

I know it's not what you'd hoped for but recovering several GB of video will not only be time consuming, but there's no guarantee you'll get your data back.
