My mate has tried assembling a PC with a KV7 mobo. We can't get this mother to boot up at all. I'm staring at a blank screen (and yes I have turned and plugged the monitor on!)

Any help would be much appriciated.

try taking out your video card and installing it again. sometimes when the video card is not embedded in firmly you'll get a blank screen on your monitor. the video card could be defective. i've had defective video cards before.

I did suspect the vid card. I tried a really old PCI vid card, but I'm still staring at a blank screen.

I'm sorta leaning towards the memory. I taken out every card except the graphics card.

Tomorrow (it's getting late here in the UK) I'll try the suspect video card in my pucker pc and see if works, at least it'll elimate that.

Cheers Budz and if you can think of anything else, let us know
