  1. I have been playing around with TMPGENC for encoding MPEG2 files. It works but it's glacially slow (well on my modest machine). I have obtained a trial copy of the LSX encoder but have no idea to make it work to read VOB files. I can't see any easy guides here - perhaps somebody can point me to a guide? I thought it might read .d2v files created with DVD2AVI but it doesn't. Another thought was MPEG2AVI but that does not process the sound file

  2. this what you do take the d2v file and get the program vpafi convertor this program converts the d2v file to a fake avi file...now when you have the d2v file encode it with LSX Mpeg Encoder after that encode your audio with tooLAME or SCMPX to mpeg 1 layer two and mmux it with the video with BBmpeg

    LSX accept vfapi-avi files and .avs if you avs_patch mpeg2enc.exe. Not sure about VirtualDub signpostfiles.
