This is kind of a follow up to my original post. https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=237409
I bought the Magnavox MRV640. After I make a recording with it, what would be the best way to tell the audio is encoded in Dolby Digital 2.0 or not? Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I did searches for Dolby Digital 2.0 and came up empty.
Thanks

Hello,
Dvd players usually have an audio option to show what type of encoding the sound is in. You could also try a pc player like powerdvd and choose configuration. It will list the sound format.
