    stupid computers...

    well i partitioned my second drive last night and right after the reboot it decided to say my aiw 9800pro didnt have the power plugged in

    so i said f it and went to bed. booted up this morn and it says my hardware isnt configured properly

    and every 2 to 4 start ups it shows my puter at half the speed it should be including the ram too(1250mhz amd and 200mhz ddr when its pc3200) it used to do this once every so often.

    i wanna point directly at the mobo for my probs. any second opinions?

    It sounds like your cmos battery needs replaced and you could look for a bios upgrade.

    That is what I would do.

    You may have bought it this year but it may been in the stockroom of fry's for awhile. You cannot use when you bought it as a measuring stick.

    Getting another mobo may be the way to go.

    Asus A7N8X for that 2800.

    Are you sure your RAM is running at 200 MHz? Technically DDR400 runs at 200 MHz. DDR means it runs at double that rate though. Mine says it is only running at 133 MHz in CPU-Z but that means:

    133 x2 (for DDR) = 266
    266 x2 (for dual channel) = 533
    533 = my current FSB
