    A buddie of mine gave me a HD transport stream, I'm having a little trouble playing it back.

    The major problem is the audio, in that you can't hear or the audio plays back stutterer ? (is that a word)

    I have played it with VLC but alas no audio also Mplayer

    I have a dual g5 heaps of ram etc

    I have played it back with audio on my pc with VLC but its just not pokey enough

    anyone help

    Does VLC or Mplayer tell you want audio format it is? Perhaps you could change it to something more suitable, like AC3.
    If it isn't broken, take it apart and find out why.

    I have tried to export it to that using mpeg streamclip, but the file seems to be playing at x2 ?
