Time zones - Does it stink to watch live primetime early?

Hello,

With events like Monday Night Football airing at 9pm est time in the US how do people watch it in other timezones (like west coasters???)? How hard is it for you after work to catch live primetime events scheduled like that???? I've always thought it must suck for watching things that early.

When I lived in the midwest I was appalled that the right-coasters had to wait until 11:30 for Johnny to come on (we'd get it at 10:30). I wondered if everyone along the eastern seaboard had constant bags under their eyes every day at work.

That's nothing! During the NHL playoffs fans here would stay up to 4:00am est to watch the Wings-Ducks playoffs games of the 90s!! (I didn't, I needed the sleep! ). Well I don't watch match primetime tv anyway so live stuff is the only stuff I'd probably make an effort to stay up for.

I dont know what we swtich to...but in the midwest fox, nbc, etc. stay the same. All cable shows air an hour later. Kinda sucks because cinemax porn is on an hour later and I have classes early the next day.

no effect really I always wonderred when they have fights in the East and its around 9 ( in the west) ,,,I am thinking to myself that if it was not for the adrenilane the fighters could get sleepy

I grew up in EST, and now I'm in CST.. after a few weeks here, I got used to everything being an hour early.

it's only when I hear that something is going to be on at 8:00 Monday, I have to think about whether it was a local message or a national message, and adjust accordingly.

If you think that's bad, I get up at 2:00AM to watch the Steelers. What sucks more is if they have the late game though. I have to be at work before the game ends... Kind of like when I was in Guam. Same thing.
