  2. i have watched a HDTV with a HDTV satellite reciever. let me say that it is SWEEEEEET. the picture was a women talking in front of some trees in the background. the picture was extreamly 3 dimentional. it looked as if i could stick my hand in the screen and grab the trees in the background. HDTV compatible means that it can handle HDTV with the purchase of a decoder. but you would have to have HDTV programming to get HDTV quality. at least that what i think. as far as getting HDTV then, i really don't know. I thought games could be played on a projection screen.....

  3. HDTV= High definition TV. HDTV can be displayed on both a picture tube, like a PC monotor (which is a HDTV compatible monitor) or it can be done as a projection TV system, often using LCD to display the high resolution video.
When a monitor or projector is HDTV compatible, it means it has the needed resolution and the scan frequency needed to display a HD image.
