    Newegg shows 2 different kinds. Taiyo Yuden Silver Lacquer and Taiyo Yuden Shiny Silver. The price difference is huge. Is the quality any different?

    THe ones labelled as Silver Lacquer are 8x; the ones labelled Silver Top are 4x (don't let the names fool you though, they have the same surface). The 8x discs are horribly overpriced; you can get them for $30 at www.rima.com now.

    Geez...I just paid .67 for a couple hundred 4X on the RIMA close out to stock up and now the 8X are already down to .58

    If you live near a best buy, they have FUJI DVD+Rs 8X on sale $29.99-$5 rebate = $24.99 for 50.

    They are YUDEN. Ends Saturday 10/2

    Look for the made in japan label on the disk itself.
