I have a Pioneer DVR-107D burner. It is supposed to write at 8x (according to the specifications). The Ritek G05 8x DVD-r's look like a great buy for the money.
Can I burn G05's on the DVR-107D at 8x, 4x, or even at all? Or do I have to go with G04's instead. Would I need a firmware hack in order to do this?
Thanks in advance!

You should have no problems at all - mine burnt them just fine out of the box (although it doesn't hurt to check Pioneer's website to make sure it was shipped with the latest firmware).

I have the Pioneer DVR-A07XLA (should be the same/similar as DVR-107D) and the Ritek G05s (got them from Newegg) burn fine at 8X. I updated to Firmware Version 1.18 before I bought the G05s so I never tried burning 8X with the firmware originally supplied. Firmware 1.18 is not a hacked version - available from Pioneer website.
