I have a sony 500a burner. I want to buy on of the current crop of burners which burn up to 16x. The question I had is, can I use two different burners to burn same material on two dvd's at the same time.

yup, nero will burn same image to multiple drives. you can also burn multiple images by having multiple instances of dvd decrypter running.

I do both of the above all the time w/ no problems.

but does it need to be same burner model and make and can I burn with different speeds or does it have to be same speed for both burners when I am burning?
    thanks

  4. Is the harddrive fast enough to handle 2 x 16x DVd burners at the same time? (2x16x9x150 = 43MB/sec)?

Hmm I thought it reads the data once to be burned on both burners? Also thought you have to set one speed for both? Since I have the old trusty burner of sony, will be stuck with 4x max on this one. Plz advice if I am wrong.
    thanks
