I have a pioneer dvr-310 recorder, I tried some cheap ntsc documentry dvds a friend got me overseas and got 2 out of 6 to play the others just sit there trying to load and fail. I tried the others on a friends mid range lg dvd player and they all played fine. Im in australia,I tried cleaning the discs but still no go.All my other discs play fine.It seems like the pioneers detection on these cheap discs is limited. Is there anything I can do to get them to play in the pioneer thanks....

I have had this problem with 3 Pioneer 310s. I have over 150 store bought DVD's and sometimes the Pioneer 310 would play them but approx. 65% of the time it would not. Pioneer said they never had trouble like this with any of there DVR's, all they kept telling me was to return them to the store and try another . After 3 of them I gave up. The only way to get it to play was to set the 310 to the default settings. A real PITA.
