    Hello guys I am having sort of a problem here I recentle upgraded the firmware on my drive and yet when I attempt to burn at 8x speeds it still takes about 12 to 15 min any suggetsions or links to other usefull threads would be greatly appreciated.

    No im using 8x media that I just bought the other day from comp USA as im currently waiting for some Riteks that I ordered from newegg.com

    Also I am using a usb connection and I have updated the firmware yet it still only burns at 4x speed

    Hello guys a lil more info this is in a external case using usb 2.0 I have ben searching the forums and still cannot get to write at 8x it reads that it is yet it still takes about 16 min. to write please can someone offer some insight

    FYI your writer only writes 8x with DVD+R media.
