I have been experimenting with this new wonder codec, and have experienced wierd findings. On some movies, I can get a 2.5 hr movie within 700 megs, others it takes another 2.5 hr movie and makes it 1.8 gigs. Very strange. Any way to make it so it will be 700 exactly(or close too)?

I did a test with ENter the Dragon, and it was 1.8 gig, thn I did a test with LOTR, and it was 698.8 megs. Very strange for a movie with a lot more movement and dark scenes than Enter the Dragon.

Hi Q, not answering your question here, but how was the final quality on your 700MB vs 1.8GB movies? What would you liken it to - DVD or VCD or what?

  3. Version 0.0.9q should include 2-pass and better rate-control.

700 and 1.8 where same quality(in my opinion 700 looks BETTER than 1.8. Very strange.

Hopefully 9q comes out soon, Major is running out of letters!
