Two DVD-5s to a DVD-9

Hi,

I have just got a hold of Gods and Generals. I want to take this disc (Half movie on one side, half on other) and shrink the two sides down, with menus and such two to seperate DVD 4.3GBs.

What I want to know is, can I burn these two sides onto a dvd-9 and have a simple menu that says "load Side A" and "load Side B" Once selected, the disc plays the side, with menus and such.

keeping original working menu's when joining 2 DVD's is a bit complicated but it's not impossible. I have a couple of guides in my sig but they use DVDRemake PRO which is not free . Yours will be easier as both DVD's will probably have similar structures

you may find it's simpler just using DVDShrink's reauthor mode and Titlewriter to insert a basic menu to go to either part of the movie but you will lose the original menus

try a serach for 'merge' or 'join' in this forum and it will probably throw up another few similar threads with a few more suggestions
