I actually have my doubts that it may in fact be legit on some degree. I'm talked to guys in chat (on another site) who claimed to have the product in their hand. (of course they could have been lying, but they were not trying to "recruit" because they had their stuff)

It is advertising to post a link with your referrer number in it. And yes I'll pop people for linking to their homepage just to get people to check their link that way also.

That's what I'm talking about, one of my myspace friends posted those exact pics saying it was proof she had received the TV. I just looked back to get the link to the blog entry to show everyone, but it has been deleted. I think her whole profile is a scam. I sent her a message saying I'd give her an iPod for a blow job

What is the jist of this scam.It sounds like a pyramid scheme. Can someone provide the long and short of it?

what I've seen on these is that it's classic Ponzi / pyramid scheme - the early adopters did get their TV / Ipod / whatever, but now anyone who signs up will get squat....

Anybody remember AllAdvantage? The company that paid you to look at an adbar? This was all the rage back in 1999. Legit or not, this kind of stupid economics doesn't work and I wouldn't waste my time with it.
