    I have an dish network satellite. They sent a ups truck to pick up the receivers. I bought an a antenna from radio shack and can only get one channel. What do I do?

  2. You've given us almost no information to help you troubleshoot. But basically it is like this:

    1) Identify where your signal is coming from. Get a compass heading from your location.

    2) Identify the band and frequency of the channels you want to receive. They are most likely UHF, but may be VHF.

    3) Determine the approximate distance you are from the broadcast tower.

    4) Determine if you can mount an antenna outdoors (if you need it).

    5) Go to Radio Shack (or other store that sells quality antennas) and pick up an antenna that suits your needs.

    6) Install antenna where it can face the broadcast tower, run cable to your tuner, and fine tune by rotating antenna.

    Also, is your TV and/or VCR - whichever you've connected the antenna to - set to Cable or A/V/Line-in mode, rather than Antenna/TV?
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    Your location/setup can only pick up one channel, upgrade or get the basic cable TV with only local channels for $12/month.
