  1. Hi,

I just installed Premiere Pro on a new desktop--Pentium IV 3.0 GHz, 1.0 Gb RAM (2 x 512 DDR)--and am still working out the wrinkles. Everything ran smoothly on my old laptop.

So yeah, no Audio Mixer. Is it something really simple that I'm missing? Nothing happens when I go to either Window\Workspace\Audio or Window\Audio Mixer. Same thing when I try to open up the Color Correction window. Also, going to Window\Workspace\Editing is supposed to resize all of my windows to fit the screen. However, on my new computer, it does nothing at all. The other items under Window (Effects, History, Info, etc) come up just fine.

I've already tried a bunch of things--reinstalling the drivers for my capture card, disabling hyperthreading, uninstalling Windows Service Pack 2.

    ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is only one way to convincingly and totally remove SP2, and that is a format and reinstall from scratch.
