Hi,
I use the Plextor M402U encoder and software and it had a feature called "direct record" where by you can burn DVD's to a disk directly..Thus I have been able to get nearly 3 and a half hours of video at lower resolutions..This method creates a video_RM file as well as a video_TS file..Many stand alone recorders use this format also..Problem is that all stand alone players cannot read the disk in this format..
I can convert it to the regular format(Audio_TS and Video_TS) by using both DVD decryptor and DvD shrink..Now to the question..The file size on the DVD nearly doubles when it is converted to Video_TS and Audio_TS..Thus a 4gig DVD now becomes 8 gigs...Can anyone explain this
in basic terms?
Thanks for reading this...
