Never mind. This is what the webpage says:

    Please Note:
This is a GRADE B media, it is in a fair burnable condition. Some of the pieces might have slice scratches at the outer edges, it will not effect the burning procedure according to our testing.

This media will ONLY work for Pioneer and Plextor DVD burner. If you are looking for GRADE A media that have perfect conditionings and fully compatibilities, please check out our GreatAzo products.

Since this is a One Time Only clearance sales promotion, we are sorry that we will have special return policy on this product.

There is no return, no exchange, no refund, and no credit on this product. We strongly recommend you to order 50pack for testing first.

  8. They may work, but in a year they also might delete you data.

  9. But they might be great for transfers from a Panasonic to a computer without going through the RAM annoyances.

Not to be a pessimist, but remember: You Get What You Pay For!

In a year's time, you might not be able to read any of these "great deal" discs.

BOUGHT A COUPLE PACKS OF THESE BECAUSE THEY WERE SO CHEAP AND IT WAS ONLY AFTER I LOOKED AT THIS POST DID I REALIZE THAT THEY WERE ONLY RECOMENDED FOR JUST A FEW WRITERS. I USED ABOUT 30 OF THESE DISKS WITH MY LIGHTON 832 WITHOUT ANY COASTERS. OF COURSE I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHAT A COASTER IS? TO ME A COASTER IS A DISK THAT I CANNOT RECOPY. SO ON THAT BASIS- NO COASTERS. HOWEVER, I HAVE 5 STAND ALONES AND THEY PLAY DIFFERENLY ON EACH BRAND. MY MINTEK AND CYBERHOME 300 PLAY THEM WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT. MY PANASONIC FREEZES AND PIXILATES IN SPOTS BUT DOES CONTINUE ON AND PLAYS THEM AS WELL.
    HOPE THIS HELPS

    Myth. www.nomorecoasters.com

Anyway, they WILL likely be crap burns to start with.

I believe INFOSMART is one of the HK companies that releases all that crappy and fake media on the market, http://www.cdfreaks.com/news/10445. HK media is worse than Taiwanese media. Far worse. They're also a maker of AN32, etc, type medias.

Be aware that when it comes to cheap media, you start to hear conspiracy theories and grading rumors, mostly from schmucks in free forums (and typically from underhanded companies trying to out-shill each other). Take things at face value, folks. Fake is fake. Cheap is cheap. The end. If you want good stuff for a good price, shop smart, not cheap.

lordsmurf your right about that. I wasn,t much from the media and I dont have any expectation about how long they will last. All I use them for is for backups of backups or for tv I just want to see once or twice.
The ID on the disks I received were AN31.

  15. Hmm. I noticed meritline.com now has white printable Accu 4x dvd-r media for just $38 for 100. This is a great media, it plays on every dvd player that I put it into. I use it mostly on Sony 500's though. But they do have a list of what it works with.

  16. I bought a 50 pack of these to try out and they are media code AN31. They have a plain frosted top and burn up to 4x on my NEC 1300a and Toshiba 5112. I just got them today and have burned 2 discs, 1 with my NEC and the other with my Toshiba. Both of them burned smoothly to the edge of the discs. They had identical Transfer rate tests - both discs read very smoothly to about 4.1Gb and then start getting read errors. All of the discs in the pack have visible scuffs and scratches on the outer ~4mm of the discs, which explains them having errors on the last bit of the discs. So these discs are actually fine when you have burns that are around 4gb or less. I thought I'd chime in on these for anyone wondering about them. I tried to post an image of the transfer test but it didn't work - there were no dips in the transfer test whatsoever, just hit read errors at around 4.1gb.

  17. Thanks for the media code. Those are some of the Sonic discs from shop4tech and are considered by some to be some of the worst discs ever made. Over at CDFreaks there is a thread where part of the argument is the proper way to dispose of or use these for any other purpose than burning. I'll pass.
