I have a few ambient videos on DVD that do NOT have an audio track. I've extrated them successfully with Yade and/or OSEx into VOB files which I attempted to convert into DV streams using ffmpegX.
I'm using the DV preset in ffmpex and the resulting .dv file does not open. I have successfully followed this procedure with other tracks in the same DVD that do have an audio track.
It would almost seem to me that if ffmpegX does not find an audio stream within a VOB file or an AC3 file associated to an m2v file, it wigs out. I even unmarked the "decode audio" checkbox in ffmpegX and this didn't work for me either.
So: how can I convert an m2v file (without any audio) into a .dv file successfully? I've searched within the forum and couldn't find any insight into this.
Help sincerely appreciated!
