Hi,
Is anyone else out there having similar problems with nanoDVR ? I've tried both the Hauppauge version and the version on their web site and they both do the same.
Basically, I set nanoDVR to use 2800 bitrate, 25fps, Buffers 800+, MPEG1, Coding Speed on 1, Motion Est on 1, High Quality, Capture Audio, Intra B, Fast Audio, Use Overlay. Capturing realtime MPEG1 with a WinTV PCI.
All capturing is superb until about 12 minutes in, and then the picture suddenly turns into squares as if the bitrate has just gone to the lowest setting. Does it use dynamic bitrates ? Or are there settings for the best capture ?
Even the FAQ mentions it
"F: nanoDVR breaks up after a short time. Up to this moment everything works fine. Why?"
But the answer does nothing.
My PC should be up to the task.
Athlon 1.4, 512Mb, Geforce3, Abit KT7a, 60Gb HD ATA100, WinME and WinXP.
Any help most appreciated,
Craig.
