It is under the name {DV 3138} by SVP shop, is it really good quality as they claim, did anybody buy it?
I am very n00b in dvd field, please forgive me in case I do any mistake

The dvd burner I will be buying is Plextor P712A, so does this media goes well with it by practice (I looked into the videohelp media info, and most of the tdk and TY is compatiable)
Also have read nomorecoaster.com which was extremely useful in setting me up in the right track.
My need in case anybody ask is recopying +2000 cd into dvd, and also for future burn ^^ so I hope this media is good, I know that TY01 and TY02 is very good, but dunno about this one and how trusty SVP is.
I am in the UK, by the way.
Thanks everybody, and again sorry if I have done any mistake in advance...

SVP seem to be very reliable they understand that there is fake media out there. you could always give them a call i'm sure they would be happy to help.
I bought some discs from them ages ago and they all worked perfect -
I have bought some TY from SVP and they work perfectly.
SVP are very good. I bought some Ritek from them and they last 25 seem very iffy and they have just replaced them this morning before I sent the duff ones back. -
i've been using TY media for around 12 months, from various sources and paying rip off prices.
But i've been buying the spindles of 8x from SVP for the last couple of months and they are legit, after seeing and handling 2x 4x and 8x TY you can tell instantly as they are all constructed in exactly the same way and same quality, except the batch code in the center,
(P.S the unprintable area in the center of TY is slightly larger than any other discs i've used 44mm.)
GG0xxxxxxx = 8x
GB0xxxxxxx = 2x
GD0xxxxxxx = 4x
also i still have a selection of TY of various speeds and from various sources and it easy to compare them.
SVP have been suppling me with non TY dvdr for a long time now and CDr before DVDr was available i have no complaints, and i asked several times if they would ever stock TY and i was told that they would not stock em until they could supply them at a very competative price.
I've gave up using ritek months ago you just dont know what your going to get, nomatter who supplies them, one batch might be ok and the next total crap. Unfortunately the shops that sell them have no idea untill they get comebacks.
when i was paying £1-50 per disc for riteks i never had a problem the quality was A1, the only problem was getting hold of them as they were rare, but as they got popular and ritek has needed to fill the demand the quality has gone down the toilet. -
Do you know their return policy, i do not quite understand it ...
I also have another question:
I already have around 1500 GB to back up, meaning around 320 DVD, so shall I buy them at once... or just buy 100 at the beginning ??
A reason why would I buy 300 at once, is to garantee in case TY dvds go out of stock and don't have to wait...
Your advice is appreacited, I am still to the dvd media field[/b]
