I've just purchased a Maxin MX 11-31, very cheap €19.99, works great.
Most of my DVD are region 1, Does any one know the HACK code??

Not heard of a Maxim DVD player (untill now), only a Maxim magazine

Yeah I have heard of that one. Dixons sell them but not for that cheap. I don't know anything about hacks, I have just heard of it. Thanks

My parents got the same one, and I've been looking for a hack. No luck so far.

The only extra info I could find was Sherwood are a distributor for Maxim in the UK (http://www.sherwoodagencies.com/dvd.htm).
I also found that a company that makes DVD players for Maxim, also makes them for "AKAI, DAEWOO, AKISHI, WHITE-WESTINGHOUSE, BUSH" (http://www.chinaexporter.com.cn/com/66713.htm)
Perhaps one of the region fixes for one of those brands, might also work? I haven't been able to try any of them myself.

Their manual was also missing quite a few pages. Was that the same with yours?

The maxim MX11-21 player's hack is 9735 and then you get into the hidden menu where you can change the parental rating, password and region. This might work for yours too.

My player is based on a sunplus chipset and yours probably is too so might work.
