  1. Thought i'd mention this as I bought these yesterday and haven't seen it posted although I may of missed it. Prodiscs lower then i've ever gotten them, $35.10 for 100 pack. With all these fake this and fake that posts I don't wanna be bothered, so I figured i'd go with something that is reliable and which has worked for me and Prodiscs have fortunatley done just that. Didn't think i'd get them for such a great price though.

Here's the link to the deal. http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_item&id=2216&cata=1&s_cata=88

Oh, I had to use a coupon to bring the price to $35.10. The coupon was 'LABORDAY' it's supposed to be good until September 9th so only really one day left. I'll have them by Monday, can't wait to start burning them. I have enough discs to hold me over til' then though.

You do realize that the prodisc media ID has changed, right? It's MCC now, and a lot of people have been having major problems with it.

I'm one of them, unfortunately, heh. (using the 4x printables).

Also, shop4tech has never been a very higly rated dealer.. Welp, hope it works out for you though!

    I don't think 3-5 people complaining on a forum of a 100,000 qualifies as "a lot".

MCC has long been a highly regarded media company, with quality discs, and I personally see no change in this.

No complaints from me with either Prodisc S03 or MCC media.
They both burn great on my LiteOn LDW-451S. From what I've heard, LiteOn's are supposed to prefer +R media, but these -R's are incredibly reliable in my burner...even at up to 4474MB. I get no dropouts at the end of my discs.

  5. well yes I did read that some people had some problems with prodiscs but it wasn't enough people to really concern me b/c like lordsmurf said, it wasn't that many people. Not sure what you mean about shop4tech not being a highly rated dealer, I haven't had any problems with them. I bought from them probably 9 times total now and everything has been peachy. I like your results louv68, I'm anxious to try them out myself now.

I wish I had known about this offer, just yesturday I bought 100 Prodisc from Meritline and payed 34.99 plus 16.88 S/H for 2nd Day UPS Air. Thats $51, oh well next time I'll check around a little more. As for Prodisc being a good media, Two Thumbs Up from me. I have over 400 burns and not one coaster. The best deal for the money.

I have seen 3 different Prodisc 8X media IDs recently. S04, F01 and the MCC. They probably all have different compatibility and characteristics.

  8. Lately I can't get any uploads so this might not come through but MCC has really had some weird scans as of late.

Well I see it still doesn't work. This new server must have no room for uploads. Look over at CDFreaks.com if you want to see quite a few additional problems with MCC. They have a whole additional list of concerns we haven't even began to comment on.
Still a few bugs in the system...
